Well my very first Glossy Box arrived safe and sound yesterday. Practically felt like Christmas morning with the ordeal of unwrapping the little box. This is the 6th edition of the monthly selection of beauty treatments and to celebrate, they have included a 6th product. This month I received: 1 Leighton Denny nail polish, a selection of Robert Piguet eau de parfums, a Stila eyeliner and a range of Dermalogica products and make up bag.
The aim of the glossy box is to provide subscribers with miniatures to try out before they spend time or money on the full size products. For £10 a month you receive 5 items to test out. You also don't have to commit to any long term contract and if one box is enough for you that's fine!
To be fair I think these companies should hand out their samples for free and I'm sure the majority of my money is spent on the extravagant packaging but it is useful to be given products I wouldn't normally even look at to add some excitement to my usual beauty routine. Its rather handy though when you can get a 25ml multi-vitamin skin polisher for roughly £2, rather than splash out £40.50 for the 75ml.They also have a loyalty scheme in place and by doing things such a giving feedback you can earn points to put towards a free Glossy Box.
I haven't used the skincare products yet but I'm a big fan of Leighton Denny so the polish is going down a treat with me and the eyeliner's autumnal tones are a refreshing change to my usual black smolder.
